About the course
Of the children in Pasifika families, almost 70% are in the 0-4 years age group. However, Pasifika children have the lowest percentage of enrolment in Early Childhood Education at around 85% compared with 91% for Maori, 95% for Asian and 98% for European.
This means making ECE accessible for Pasifika families is vitally important and the first step to this is finding out what is holding them back and what they want from ECE for their children.
