About the resource
Developing
meaningful bicultural practice is an ongoing journey. This series provides a
collection of practical resources that can help kaiako build their knowledge
and consider how te ao Māori, tikanga Māori and te reo Māori can be reflected
in everyday ECE environments and experiences.
Explore local iwi connections, understand tikanga and marae protocols, incorporate waiata and karakia into everyday practice, and recognise opportunities to weave Māori perspectives through the ECE curriculum. Together, the resources offer practical ideas, reference material and opportunities for reflection that can support kaiako at different stages of their professional learning journey.
